SVYCA’s Green Careers Bus Trip (Day 2)

Day 2 of our 2022 Green Careers Bus Tour was at Levi’s Stadium! We climbed onto the elevator to view their solar-powered tower and roof featuring native drought-tolerate plants and a spectacular view of the stadium. One of SVYCA’s members was interviewed by a CBS reporter. We also toured their recycling water plumbing system, their engineering headquarters, and learned how they tackle recycling with thousands of people coming and going during a game.

On Day 2 we also had the privilege of touring Nuro HQ. We saw a live demo of Nuro's automotive delivery vehicle and learned about the many sustainability features that allow Levi's Stadium to host thousands of people on game days. Thank you to Silicon Valley Power for organizing this tour with the Levi’s Stadium staff and thank you to all the tour guides, SVYCA members, and everyone else who helped coordinate this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many Bay Area youth.
